This season, our Tartan print pays homage to our Scottish heritage while leaving a mark of our own.
In celebration of modern Scotland, the collection features three distinctive styles. Crafted from luxurious bouclé, the fabric’s textured finish is created by intertwining two yarns, resulting in a beautifully looped, tactile surface.
A nod to timeless tradition, redefined for today.
We caught up with our Design Assistant, Scott Crawford to find out a bit more about the Tartan collection…
Lana Hobo
We were drawn to the bouclé texture, as it adds a soft, tactile quality and a sense of warmth. The large scale check gives it a more contemporary feel compared to traditional tartans, which tend to feature smaller, more intricate patterns. We chose a neutral colour palette to keep the look minimal and understated, allowing the texture and scale to take centre stage and to create a minimal and timeless design. Overall, the decisions around material, scale, and colour were all about balancing tradition with modernity.
Mini Tote
The three iconic styles were chosen for the Tartan collection because their varied size and structures cater to the different needs of modern life. Whether it’s looking effortlessly chic on the daily commute or enjoying a relaxed weekend stroll through an art gallery, each style offers a balance between functionality and fashion.
Midi Tote
To me, modern Scotland is about celebrating our heritage and embracing what we've always been good at. As a designer, I constantly draw inspiration from our natural landscapes, pairing them with a cultural curiosity that looks outward to the world. It’s this blend of tradition and progression that defines contemporary Scottish creativity.
